Church and State is a french bistro located in the middle of the warehouse district of Los Angeles, housed in the old National Biscuit Company building (aka Nabisco). Their menu includes seasonal ingredients along with classic french techniques. Few memorable dishes include their crispy pork ears, escargot with puff pastry, and their gigantic charcuterie plate. If you’re one for interesting ingredients and a great ambience, go give them a try!
Another Saturday family dinner! This week, my brother and i rolled out some fresh pasta made with semolina flour, AP flour, and eggs. We made a simple saute of shallots, garlic, mushrooms, tomatoes, and white wine to dress the fettuccine and topped it all off with fresh basil and truffle shavings. Buon appetito!!
